Implementation and Impact

Implementation

Our whole school approach to PSHE and RSE is down to the belief that success in these areas will lead to excellence across the whole curriculum. Children receive weekly PSHE lessons but we ensure that PSHE is integrated into other areas of the curriculum and the PSHE curriculum complements our Christian ethos.

We deliver our PSHE curriculum through the use of the Kapow Primary scheme. The Kapow Primary scheme is a whole school approach that consists of five areas of learning: families and relationships; health and wellbeing; safety and the changing body; citizenship and economic wellbeing. The lessons provide a progressive programme with each area revisited annually to allow children to build on prior learning.
