*New* Parent Forum
Supportive parents are at the heart of our school community and it is important that we have a respectful relationship so that we can work together in partnership to support our children.
The aims of our parent forum are to:
- Work together to improve the education provided for all children
- Share information, knowledge and skills
- Meet in a mutually supportive environment
- Further improve communications between parents/carers and staff/governors
Everyone who is a parent or carer of a child at the school is welcome to attend.
Dates to be confirmed.
How often will the Parent Forum meet and what will be discussed?
The Parent Forum will meet once a 'big' term on a date communicated in advance. Future dates for the next meetings will be published as part of the whole school calendar available on our website.
Anything related to improving the school and further developing the partnership between school and our parents. The meetings will be informal and are an opportunity for an open discussion. Notes of the meetings will be taken and these will be accessible via the school’s website.
What will be discussed and why should I take part?
Anything related to improving the school and further developing the partnership between school and our parents. The meetings will be informal and are an opportunity for an open discussion. Notes of the meetings will be taken and these will be accessible via the school’s website.
Concerns or complaints involving individual children, families or members of staff. These issues should be raised with the class teacher or Headteacher in confidence.
It gives parents an opportunity to get together on a regular basis with other parents to have your say on what the school is doing well, and suggest ideas of how things could be improved. There will be opportunities to get advice and support to help your child/children with their learning.
If you are not able to attend, then please email admin@woodchester.gloucs.sch.uk or head@woodchester.gloucs.sch.uk with anything you wish to raise and it will be added to the discussions.
