How does our world flourish?

We recognise that we have opportunities at our school to help others and do so in some of the following ways:

  • T4U Shoeboxes – we work closely with Teams4U each autumn to create and fill shoeboxes that are then sent to some of the poorest countries in Europe in time for Christmas.
  • Ukraine – when the crisis started, our children collected colouring pencils, pens and colouring books to send to displaced
  • We use PictureNews to support children in understanding current affairs.  The resources are designed to provide opportunities for children to learn about our world and develop respect for other’s beliefs, feelings and faiths.
  • Through our RE curriculum and use of the NATRE and Gloucestershire Syllabus resources, we teach our children to explore and understand different world views in a manner which allows them to be respectful and considerate of others.
  • Our curriculum has been developed to include foci on diversity and environmental matters so that children can understand how to be part of a tolerant society as well as understand some of the key challenges that the world is facing.
