How does our school community flourish?
We are keen to ensure that those within our school community have the opportunity to effect change, develop their skills so that they can flourish and take responsibility. We do this through:
- Supporting our teachers by encouraging them to join subject networks for CPD, networking and further opportunities
- Working with national organisations such as STEM to improve the teaching of Science across both our school and other local schools in our area
- Working with other local schools for moderation, support for staff, reading groups, ELSA and SEND
- Welcoming parents and carers to our whole school sports day and other initiatives such as celebration worships, musical concerts and class learning opportunities.
- A network of buddies between our eldest children and our youngest in order to support our youngest children at the start of their school journey.
- Every pupil and member of staff is placed in one of the Houses when they join school. Where possible, siblings are in the same House to foster a sense of family loyalty. Our school house system encourages children to aim high, compete among and encourage their fellow classmates, and work hard to earn points for their house.
