On Friday we went to Young Voices at the Birmingham Arena. First, we got on the coach and the journey took around two hours. We were all starving when we got there because it was 1:30pm. We got to our seats and had our lunch, we were right at the front with a brilliant view of the band.
After lunch, we had a rehearsal. The conductor was really funny and he even dressed up as a pirate for the sea shanty. We also rehearsed all the actions with all the other children, about 5000!
After dinner, it was time for the magnificent performance. We did a pop medley, a Wicked medley, Disney medley and many other songs. It was amazing! In the Wicked medley they put green and pink lights on us. There were thousands of people watching!
We got back to school late, but we'd all had a fantastic day!
PS A huge thank you to Mrs Hubble for running a YV club over the last two terms to help us learn the songs and also thank you to all of the adults who came along. They did have some dodgy dancing!
