Every year, we are pleased to celebrate World Book Day, a charity day to celebrate the love of reading for pleasure amongst children and young people. It was so lovely to see our children dressing up as their favourite book character - well done to the group who dressed up as characters from our series of phonics books!

Each class enjoyed book themed lessons as well as an opportunity to sit and listen to a story in our wonderful school library. We hope that it has helped continue to foster an enjoyment of reading. We want all of our children to find reading fun, accessible and exciting!

This year, each class read 'Dear Earth' by Isabel Otter - a picture book which is a love letter to the Earth, sharing how special it is and how if enough of us care about our planet, we can save it.
