Safer Internet Day
Children are growing up in an increasingly digital society. Even if they do not have a mobile phone until much later, the digital world is all around them - from online food shopping to banking, booking household services and even watching TV. We are very passionate about ensuring that our children know how to use the internet safely and each year take part in the UK wide Safer Internet Day.
The theme of Safer Internet Day 2025 was 'Too good to be true? Protecting yourself from scams online.'
KS1 enjoyed learning about how to stay safe online and then made posters to demonstrate their new knowledge whilst Hawthorn and Juniper took part in the BBC live lesson. Both classes completed a variety of challenges to become internet safety experts. Meanwhile, Juniper learnt about scams and phishing. They looked at a variety of scenarios to see which were trustworthy or not.
Thank you to Mrs Coombs for organising the day.
