Y1 AND Y2 VISIT TO SLIMBRIDGE
It was a rather blustery but dry day when some very excited youngsters set off with some well-wrapped up adults to visit WWT Slimbridge for a day of learning as part of their topic learning about animals and comparing different wildlife in a wetland habitat.
The children had a lovely day looking at different birds, meeting otters and did some detective work looking for bugs. Well done to a few successful children who managed to find a millipede or two! The flamingoes were also found, with Albie saying “we had to walk quite far, but I saw lots of birds. They like the rain.”
A huge thank you to all the volunteers and staff for accompanying the children to make the most of their day.
