Alfie the donkey has been a very famous character on Minchinhampton common for many years and everyone was very sad to learn that he had died.  We decided the best thing to do was to say a little prayer for Alfie during worship and to treasure all the great memories we had of him.

Ronnie drew and coloured this wonderful picture of Alfie and some children helped Mrs Lusty dig a lavender plant into Maisie’s garden. 

Now we have two lovely things to help us remember Alfie and all the joy he brought to everyone who visited the common.

Rest in peace, Alfie, and thank you for all the joy your brought to our lives.
