Anti Bullying Week

Every year schools celebrate anti-bullying week with the Anti Bullying Alliance (https://anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week) and work with children to talk about to be a better friend whilst celebrating difference.  This year's theme was 'Reach out' with the aim to encourage anyone within our school community to reach out either for help, or if you see someone who you think needs our help.

On Monday, we wore odd socks to show how we can all celebrate being different. Despite us all looking different we can all work together as one team!

During PSHE this week, each class completed a different activity to focus on how to reach out when someone needs help.  In Beech class, children talked about how to help their friends and wrote on hands to think about how they could reach out to be a kind friend.  In Juniper class, children talked about diversity and how being different can sometimes be a challenge as well as a good thing. In Willow class, the Year 6 children talked about scenarios when sometimes people need help. They thought about who round school can help and how help could be given.  Willow Class also celebrated what they like about their friends.
