How will we know our Curriculum is successful?

Our church school community seeks to inspire children and adults to love, learn and flourish together so we may become everything God has created us to be.

‘Love, Learn and Flourish Together’

'Indeed, the body does not consist of one member but of many.’ (1 Corinthians 12; 14-16)

Essentially, we know our curriculum has been successful when our children leave Woodchester Endowed Church of England Primary School with all the tools they need to be ready for the next stage in their education.  They should acquire the skills and knowledge required to enable them to achieve success in education whilst possessing a secure set of Christian values that underpin them spiritually, socially and emotionally ensuring they have the tools to cherish and nurture their own wellbeing as well as contribute to the community in which they live.

The three aspects of our school motto describe the overall impact we strive for our curriculum to have on our community.

'Love together'

  • Be kind and respectful, celebrating the unique individuality of others;
  • Share in the joys of life and be supportive during challenges;
  • Bring happiness to others and seek fairness;
  • Encourage one another to strive to be the best they can be.

'Learn together'

  • Have a wide bank of knowledge and skills;
  • Achieve your academic potential;
  • Have high expectations, seeking to be a resilient and independent learner who always try to achieve their best;
  • Celebrate and acknowledge your achievement and the achievement of others.

'Flourish together'

  • Know that everyone is special, everyone’s opinions matter, everyone’s contribution is important and everyone’s faith is sacred;
  • Know that by contributing, individuals can make a difference to themselves, their school and local community, and to the world;
  • Find joy in living and learning, enjoying life in all its fullness;
  • Celebrate and appreciate the wonders of diversity and the beauty of the Earth.
